Red wine chocolate truffles
Ingredients and method
1. Place dates in a bowl and cover with lukewarm water. Allow to soak for 10 minutes.
2. Place all the ingredients (drain dates first) into a mixer if you have one (hand blender or food processor) and mix together thoroughly until a thick but smooth paste is formed.
3. Shape mixture into about 15 truffle balls and place in refrigerator to chill.
4. Let your imagination run wild to decorate! Some we dust in cocoa powder, and some we glaze with red wine and icing sugar. You might even roll some in chopped nuts, perhaps.
