It has become gold twice: Our brand Zwiesel Glas was awarded in two categories: the "Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation - Brand Strategy" category, for the brilliant execution of its brand strategy, and the "Excellent Brands - Kitchen & Household Appliances" category.
The German Design Council and the German BrandInstitute have honoured successful brands at the sixth annual German Brand Awards ceremony, one of the most important awards there is. It recognises companies which set themselves apart from the competition through exemplary brand management, sustainablecampaigns and extraordinary marketing projects.
"Zwiesel has reinvented itself and has got everything more than right - from the unique core brand - the clink of glassware as a sign of hospitality and quality - to the translation of the strategy into a brand and product environment that is compelling at the highest level of design and substance, meaning the musical note with the small "z" as the new logo is simply brilliant. A strategically crisp and coherently developed brand, which is perceived as a whole and which clearly and unmistakably stands out from the competition. Despite all the modern values, Zwiesel Glas has not abandoned the reference to its roots, but through its new ident has perfectly mastered the difficult balancing act between traditional and modern values," the jury noted in deciding to award them "Gold".
